Mr. Jamie McClendon, Administrator

I am entering my sixth year at Dutch Fork High School and my third year serving as an assistant principal. I am originally from Ninety Six, South Carolina, and earned my bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health from Lander University. I later earned my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.

Over the course of my 17-year career in education, I have had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles that have shaped my leadership journey. I began as a sixth-grade special education teacher in Greenwood School District 50 before moving into positions as a physical education teacher and Dean of Students in Richland School District One. In addition to my work in the classroom and in administration, I have spent many years coaching soccer, with my most recent coaching position at Dreher High School, where I was part of a program that won the 2019 State Championship.

These experiences have prepared me well for my role at Dutch Fork High School, where I continue to look forward to coming to work each day. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside an incredible staff and amazing students, and I am proud to help continue the traditions of excellence that make Dutch Fork a high-performing school. I look forward to another great year as a Silver Fox.
